Inner diameter is the only measurement that matters for a solid bangle. It is not a wrist measurement — the bangle has to clear the widest part of your hand, which for most people is the knuckle line.
Measuring at home
Bring your thumb to your little finger
Make the hand as narrow as you can without forcing. This is the shape the bangle must pass through.
Measure around the knuckles
Wrap a soft tape around the widest point. Keep it snug, not tight.
Divide by π
Circumference in millimetres divided by 3.14 gives you the diameter in millimetres.
Round up, then subtract a little
A slightly smaller bangle stays put; a slightly larger one slides and is easier to lose.
